My cat adores the feathers on the end of this toy, which encourages him to run through it repeatedly. It's been a great purchase.
The idea is interesting. The ball flips the toy, so the ball and feather are always on the bottom. One feather fell out immediately upon opening the package. The length is a maximum of 45 cm, maybe you need to stretch it, but I did not succeed. The cat showed interest, mostly to gnaw on the toy.
