Hello everyone, just upgraded my kitchen with this trash can and it's been a nice little improvement. Perfect for the holiday cooking marathon and daily use. They offer a variety of motion-sensing cans, and this one was just the right size for my space. Came with a starter pack of trash bags, but I already had some that fit. The stainless steel matches my other appliances and the bag holding mechanism is a smart touch – no more sagging bags. Had to apply a bit of vegetable oil to the hinges for smoother closing, but overall, it's been a great addition. Still getting used to not having to touch the lid to open it, but it's a welcome change.
My wife is pretty particular about trash cans and this one passed with flying colors. It doesn't just look good, it's functional for hands-free disposal and continuous use. Packaged well and meets all our expectations. It requires 6 AA batteries for the automatic feature and comes with bags, but you can use any 13-gallon bags. The design minimizes openings when closed, which should keep insects out. Unlike our previous can with a foot mechanism, this one has fewer gaps for bugs to get in. It does need batteries to open automatically, but you can manually use it if needed. While you can't really toss trash in from a distance and expect it to catch, the hand sensor is responsive for normal use. It's been a significant upgrade for us.

Wasn't sure about getting this because of mixed reviews but ended up being the perfect fit for our kitchen. Had issues with removing the bag at first but found a trick to it.
