I bought two of these to humidify a large old farmhouse in the winter. They produce lots of moisture, and are almost (but not quite) silent. I have them set to release about 3 gallons of water per day, per humidifier on cold, dry winter days. They can produce more if needed. The work far better than the noisy cool mist humidifiers that they replaced. The water capacity is enormous, so I only need to fill them once a day.
My plants love the extra humidity too. They've never looked healthier!
